About this Site

What is this? |
I setup this site back in 2016 because I couldn't find an up-to-date source for council compositions with accessible data. As well as the councils archive, I now also offer paid dataset services.

Can I use it? |
The CSV downloads are public domain. Feel free to download and use them in your project.
The website and its contents are provided under an Attribution Sharealike Licence. I.e. if you want to quote a table or chart on your blog, social feed or article, feel free but make sure you quote the source.

What does NOC mean? |
I try not to use the term No Overall Control without adding something more to indicate how a council is run. In the table on the front page, NOC council control is based on the party of the Mayor, in the case of Mayor & Cabinet councils, otherwise that of the administration leader followed by other parties involved in the administration in order of size.
